Kid Central offers before and After School programs at six elementary school sites and two middle sc
This week at Kid Central's Farmington location, the children celebrated St. Patrick's Day with Shamrock shakes and a Leprechaun Scavenger hunt. Looks like those happy faces all found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
This Kid Central Kid in Focus is Jada Ravenal, a happy, kind, and positive 2nd grader from A.G. Richardson Elementary School.
"Jada is super kind and always respectful to staff and all other children she interacts with in daycare," said the Kid Central staff at her school.
Jada has winning smile and gets excellent grades at school. Her favorite subject is math.
Her favorite food is spaghetti.
Jada's favorite sport is gymnastics so you might see her cartwheeling or tumbling around town.
Jada really enjoys reading and playing board games in her free time. Her favorite book is "The Princess in Black."
If she had a superpower it would be flight.
Her personal heroes are her mother and father.
If Jada had a theme song she would choose "We Don't Talk About Bruno."
When asked how she would make the world a better place she said, "I would put all the bad people in jail."
If you meet Jada she will brighten your day.
We see a great future ahead for this young lady.
This week’s Kid Central Kid in Focus is Bareera Khan, a 3rd grader at Emerald Hill Elementary.
The Kid Central staff at Emerald Hill cited her creativity, positive attitude, conduct and fun-loving nature.
"We all enjoy talking with Bareera each day," said Marshall Conner, a group leader at the school. "She always has questions and an interesting perspective on any subject."
According to her teachers Bareera is an outstanding student. Her favorite subjects are language arts and history. She is especially interested in the story of Helen Keller.
She is also an exceptional artist and wants to be a mystery novelist when she gets older.
Bareera's favorite food is mushroom pizza and okra. Her favorite sport is badminton and cricket.
Bareera is an avid reader. Her current favorite is Harry Potter Book 4.
In her free time she likes to play with her dog Bruno, draw, and play video games.
If Bareera had a superpower it would be flight.
Her heroes are Helen Keller and Ms. Angie.
Bareera loves music and her current favorite song is "Antihero," by Taylor Swift.
She wants to make difference in the world with her writing and by promoting literacy around the world. We see a promising future ahead for Bareera.
