Kid Central offers before and After School programs at six elementary school sites and two middle sc
This evening Kid Central will officially introduce Leah Walker as our new acting Program Manager. We are excited to have Leah leading our Kid Central team. Leah has lived in Culpeper all of her life and has been part of Kid Central almost as long. Leah has over 15 years of experience in the education field and more than 10 with the Culpeper Human Services agency. As a child Leah attended Kid Central and while in high school she volunteered in classrooms at the Head Start center. After high school while working for Head Start and Kid Central she worked her way up to Team Leader. She has also worked for Culpeper County Public Schools and eventually returned to the Culpeper Human Services agency working with Head Start, Early Head Start, and Kid Central. She holds an endorsement with the Virginia Association of Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health and is recognized as a National Peer Reviewer for Healthy Families America. Leah continues to serve as the Program Manager and Supervisor for Families First - Healthy Families Culpeper the local Healthy Families America home visiting program. She is looking forward to see how her skills can support Kid Central as Program Manager and help continue to provide excellent services to families in Culpeper.
