A beautiful fall day needs a Kid Central Kid in Focus! This week we put the spotlight on Reagan Allen, an outstanding third grader who attends afterschool care at Yowell Elementary.“She is very helpful, kind, and so polite,” said the Kid Central staff at Yowell. All these positive attributes helped make Reagan an easy choice for recognition.Reagan is an exceptional student, according to her teachers and childcare staff. Her favorite subject is math and she regularly has her name on the school’s honor roll. She is an active kid. Reagan’s favorite sport to watch is hockey. Her favorite food is sushi (salmon and tuna). Reagan is also an active reader. Her current favorite is “The Wild Robot,” a bestselling children’s science fiction series by author Peter Brown. Outside of school Reagan’s favorite activity is dancing. She loves ballet and simply playing with her friends. She also tells us that she likes to go to Target after they restock so she can see what’s new before everyone else. If Reagan had a superpower, it would be teleportation. Reagan’s personal heroes are her mom, a massage therapist at Fauquier Health along with her dad, a manager at Battlefield Toyota and her older sister Reese. When Reagan grows up, she wants to be a doctor that “helps children feel better.”Kind, fun-loving and smart, this kid has a very brighter future ahead.
Need childcare on a teacher workday? We always have you covered at Kid Central. Our kids had a blast last Friday creating colorful art, playing sports with Overtime Athletics, lots of outdoor time and a fun movie to cap the day!
Outdoor time in the fresh air and sunshine is an essential part of afternoon childcare at Kid Central. Outside play helps burn off the extra energy from the school day. Sometimes a little free time on a swing can make the world a happier place. We incorporate at least 30 minutes of active playtime at all our locations.
This week our little friends in Head Start enjoyed an annual visit from Culpeper firemen. The kids learned about fire safety, explored all the equipment that firefighters use on the job. Thank you, Company 1!
