Kid Central
Kid Central offers before and After School programs at six elementary school sites and two middle schools
On Tuesday the Kid Central kids took a nice field trip to State Climb, in downtown Culpeper. These kids hit new heights, all with big smiles. Usually, parents and teachers tell them "Don't climb on everything!" on Tuesday they were allowed to climb the walls.
Kid Central's preschoolers really had an amazing morning with Martha and Ramon Ortiz, from Rancho La Fe. The kids were delighted by pony rides with Peanut, along with petting goats, chickens, pigs, and rabbits. We all witnessed the power of animals to bring joy and calm to children. Many memories were created. Thank you, Rancho La Fe! #RanchoLaFe #kidcentral
This week's trip to Luray Caverns was a highlight for our campers. Sure it was hot this week, but the smiles made it worth it.
On Friday our annual Touch a Trolley event made our afternoon special. Our campers left many painted handprints on a trolley.
This event held with community partners, Culpeper Sheriff's Office, Virginia Regional Transit, PATH, and the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce is always a hit. The popsicles also hit the spot. We capped the day with a staff volleyball game that was quite entertaining.
We offer a place for Culpeper’s kids, where they can be themselves.
